Office Divider Leg Laser Welder

CMI custom designed and built this laser system to provide ultimate versatility for an industry leading furniture manufacture. With quick and easy changeover designs this one machine can meet their ever changing order demands. It is capable of producing four lines of office divider legs in eleven different configurations! Click to see a part. Raw parts are automatically fed into the machine and welded together with two Lumonics Auto lasers that have been split with two fiber optic welding heads. Three Lincoln Power Wave 455 welders are used in the MIG welding assembly process. Two Alpha chillers are used to cool the laser. The completed part is dropped onto an integrated unload conveyor to be removed and packaged as necessary. To see a video of this application click here.
